Holistic security
The Sudanese society does not provide sufficient safety and security means for women and girls. Especially women involved in public work spaces, activists in particular, are subject to severe risks. The holistic security provides practical tools and knowledge on how to reduce risks and how to react in acute situations. Holistic security is comprehensive package of topics including information security, digital security, psychological and social security.

Women’s access to information and communication technology (ICT), as well as ICT education in Sudan is relatively low, particularly in marginalised areas, where the infrastructure to use such is often barely available locally. This presents a considerable risks for activists and initiatives seeking to use it, since the awareness of digital security risks and capacities to implement security measures is often lacking. Digital security trainers from Bana Group for Development offer a training tailored to the context, with a focus on locally viable tools and technology.

Transitional justice
Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile State have experienced genocide and mass displacement, and human rights violations take place across all of Sudan. Sudan requires a discourse and mechanisms to work towards achieving transitional justice. In current political situation, it is importance to initiate transitional justice awareness campaigns.
Women are the population the most affected by these rights violations, and frequently women themselves are used as a weapon of war. The training discusses how transitional justice is first and foremost for women and focusses on legal mechanisms and examples of transitional justice processes in other countries similar to Sudan.

In the majority of marginalised communities, basic health service provision is very little, which affects girls and women the most, particularly regarding reproductive health. Peaceful coexistence
Several regions of Sudan are frequently faced with conflicts, where the conflict parties are divided among ethnic or tribal lines. The tribal and central governance structures fail to manage the cultural and ethnic diversity in Sudan in a peaceful manner. On the contrary, they instrumentalize these difference to perpetuate economic and political conflicts. The recurring clashes are mainly carried out on the backs of women. In the training on peaceful coexistence, we focus on the role of women in peaceful coexistenc and advocacy for the implementation of international conventions regarding women in conflict situations, the United Nations Security Council resolution 1325 and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
