Marginalised women are underrepresented in the advocacy efforts addressed to the international community. The “South-North advocacy component in the framework of the Civil Peace Service project “Strengthening the voices of marginalised women in Sudan’s transitional process” in cooperation with KURVE Wustrow e.V. is a joint advocacy strategy between Bana Group for Peace Development and German civil society organisations. The objective is to elevate the voices of Sudanese women and thus to contribute to peacebuilding and development in Sudan. This will be achieved through the joint work of women from marginalised areas in Sudan, who share their experiences from different perspectives.
Our approach:
The engagement with the Sudanese diaspora and the international community is crucial to achieve a sustainable impact towards the advocacy objectives. Therefore, the focus of the South-North advocacy is the establishment of strong networks and cooperations between Sudanese human rights activists and actors from the Sudanese, German and European civil society. Joint events and solidarity campaigns in the areas of Peace and Security, Women’s rights and reproductive health are carried out connecting civil society activists and initiatives in Sudan, Germany and the EU.
